One Day Flowing, Not Individual Talks
(12 hours recommended)
Deeply immersed in Scripture, this retreat is a flowing experience (not individual talks) and walks us through the process in which we build our initial faith framework, reflects on our current state of faith development (where are we on our own faith journey), the importance of community in our spiritual growth, the role of fear and vulnerability in our daily walk, and the importance of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We reflect on being a child of God, understanding how our faith development has brought us to where we are, God’s plan for order—not chaos, the Woman at the Well, Mother Teresa, critical spirits, our relationship with God and Neighbor, being vulnerable, Physics and God, and the four voices of friends (prophet, cheerleader, harasser, and guide).

“Faith by its specific nature is an encounter with the living God—an encounter opening up new horizons extending beyond the sphere of reason.” Pope Benedict XVI
It uses the analogy of a fire and the works of St Catherine of Siena to explore our spiritual journey. Learn about the life of St. Catherine, the Dialogues, as well as her private letters and other writings. Explore the concept of the Kingdom of God and how we are called to image Jesus to others with the Holy Spirit as our ignition source. We’ll look at our own weaknesses to determine ways the Devil tries to keep us from living our purpose and make a plan to rebuke him and fuel the flames of faith when he attacks. Well also look at the intercession of the saints and the new evangelization.
